Do your parents bring you to school? How do you feel when they do?

Having our parents bring us to school can be great or embarrassing. But no matter how they do it, you are lucky to have them.

One dad went viral after bringing his daughter to school using a helicopter. Mr. Chen was recently backlashed in social media for using a helicopter and was accused of flaunting his wealth! While most parents disapprove of what he did, there are also parents who defended him saying that he has a right to bring his daughter to school using any means of transport as long as it is a safe vehicle for said daughter and other kids.

They have a point, there is no rule nor law whatsoever on what conveyance a parent can use to bring their kids to school, so what’s the big deal?

It was even reported that other kids were ecstatic to see the helicopter and some parents posed near the aircraft to take a photo.

Mr. Chen addressed the issue with an explanation, claiming that it was not his intention to flaunt his wealth when he took his first grade daughter to Fengdan Primary School. In fact, being an owner of a company that offers helicopter tours around Beijing, he received an invitation from the school to bring a helicopter as a part of Fengdan Primary School’s Science and Technology Fair.

He added that he was hoping he could inspire the children to learn about aviation when he circled around the school compound. He was giving an illustration of how gravity works as he hovered above and was purely for educational purposes.

“I hope to give more children an opportunity to see helicopters up close, and spark an interest in aviation in some of them.” Stated Mr. Chen.

Other parents stated that their children were happy to see the helicopter, according to one of them, “As a parent of kids studying in Fengdan Primary School, I am actually very happy. Children can have an opportunity to take a close look at helicopters and get some knowledge about the theories behind them. That’s really great.”

There is nothing wrong driving a helicopter to school, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. What do you think of what Mr. Chen did?
